Enniskillen Amateur Dramatic Society

The birth of the EADS can be traced back to a dinner party at the end of 1922 when the conversation turned to the Dramatic Society.  Cecil Whaley was the founder with, it is believed, Egbert Trimble,  Arthur Ritchie and Jack Mercer as co-conspirators. The Whaley and Trimble families were very much the backbone of the society in the early days joined by Rita Kidd whom was associated with the society for many years. The Society's first production was “Tilly of Bloomsbury” in the Town Hall, Enniskillen on the 22nd & 23rd of March 1928. Many productions followed sometimes two or more a year with a brief interlude during the 2nd World War to the present day.
